|Latest Weight and length||Weight 290 grams Length 10.7 cm 18th October 2017|
|Overall Progress||Tom was found near sand dunes at the mouth of the Donnelly River with 2 other turtles after a winter storm. They were taken to a local wildlife carer who named them, Big Don, Donny & Little Don, and she brought them to the DDC to be cared for. Since being Adopted by Bunbury Kia, who renamed him Tom. Just the tips of Toms flippers are missing, so the ensure we have an accurate identification we have painted a glamorous purple dot on the shell of Tom. From the moment Tom was re-hydrated and warmed up it has been bright, active and inquisitive. It is eating really well and diving for food, but not yet resting on the bottom of the tank, so still has some buoyancy issues. The abrasions to it's shell still need some special care to ensure it returns to perfect health prior to it's release.|
|Funding received so far||$0.00|
