Kids Teaching Kids Conference is on Next Week

|
Students from schools across the South West will come together next Tuesday (6th September) as part of Kids Teaching Kids Week 2016. Following on from the success of Bunbury’s inaugural Kids Teaching Kids conference last year, this year’s event has attracted over 150 students from Newton Moore High, Cooinda Primary, Dunsborough Primary and Bunbury Primary along with the cultural expertise of Troy Bennell and his talented young family. Conducted on the shores of Koombana Bay, each class attending will run 45 minute hands-on workshops or participate as active audience members to demonstrate how they have the ABILITY to promote environmental SUSTAINABILITY! The student-led presentations will tackle the challenges facing our environment and cover topics such as climate change, agriculture, energy, water, waste and biodiversity. The Conference has been funded by the City of Bunbury ‘Habitat Grant' and has been well supported by all the schools involved, the Dolphin Discovery Centre and Aqwest.
