School Holiday Program


Shopping? Coffee with friends? Kids are bored already?

Have a well deserved break and let the Dolphin Discovery Centre Team take care of your children.  From craft to exploring to learning something new, your children will be begging to come back.

🙂 Our Program Has Changed 🙂

$30 - for children aged 5 to 12 years.

9am - 2pm (11am to 12noon, supervised lunch hour of free play)

Lunch can be ordered at drop off at the cafe or children may bring a packed lunch.

All program’s will include watching dolphins in the Interaction Zone (if they come in).

Craft projects will change for each activity every school holiday enhancing their creativity, the children are fully supervised at all times and get to do a variety of activities including exploration along the beach, art and craft, aquarium, games, feeding and a lot of learning about our marine life...

The program is run by fully qualified staff and volunteers assist when needed.

Octopus Obsession - I have blue blood, 9 brains and 3 hearts and A beak?!!! What am I, an Octopus of course. Shark Alert! - Fierce or friendly what do you think? Friend or Foe? Do you know? Endangered AnimalsFind out what endangered means and how we can protect the animals that need our help.  Dynamic Dolphins - How much do you really know about the dolphins in Koombana Bay? Discover why marine mammals are so special and create your own dolphin artwork you can take home. Wacky Whales - Find out about wacky whales. What are the most interesting facts about these magnificent mammals? Have lots of fun with the paint and create your own wacky craft to take home. Trash and Treasure - All washed up – wonders or waste? What can you find on the beaches of Koombana Bay? Search for hidden treasures before creating ‘gems’ of your own to take home. Treasures of the Tropics -Have you found Nemo? Did Dory forget where she lives? What on Earth is an Anemone? Its time to go Tropo!!!! Octopus Obsession - They can squirt black ink and have more brains than you can think! They have a beak like a bird, now that is absurd. Turtally Awesome - Ninja Turtles Welcome! Shipwrecks and Pirates - Arrrr me Heartttties!!!! Come walk the plank with us. Koombana Bay is not only a place for dolphins, but shipwrecks too, maybe there's pirates, or is that just you? Come along and dress up as your favourite pirate and we will have fun walking the plank and digging for treasure.
